How Does BFT Work?

Body Fit Training (BFT) offers strength-based training in a group setting, designed to deliver positive results for individuals of all fitness levels. The 50-minute sessions target cardio, functional movement, strength, and balance, with a different focus each day.

Where Did BFT Come From?

Founded in 2017 in Melbourne, Australia, by fitness industry expert Cameron Falloon, BFT provides a community-based, 50-minute functional training and strength-focused programme across 14 different workouts.

Is BFT Good for Beginners?

Whether your goals are fitness-related, nutrition-focused, or whether you're a beginner or advanced, BFT caters to everyone. They keep us motivated and help us achieve our goals. I've learned so much about improving my form and technique.

How Does a BFT Heart Rate Monitor Work?

Our innovative heart rate monitoring system rewards you for all types of programmes, not just cardio. You’ll earn rewards for staying within the prescribed heart rate zones during your sessions to achieve optimal results. Each session you attend has a target PXI (Performance x Intensity) score based on the programme.

Our BFT Programs

The aim of our weekly programming is to target every energy system, train all muscle fibre types, and work through various planes of movement. Designed by an elite strength and conditioning coach, this science-backed programme was originally developed for top athletes but is now accessible to all fitness levels.

CREWFIT

Experience the ultimate high-energy class where teamwork is key! Equal parts synergy and performance, CrewFit will have you sweating it out with your fellow teammates as you work to improve endurance and efficiency across all energy systems through high-intensity cardio conditioning.

CARDIO U

This class is all about You (U)! A cardio session laser-focused on you, where each individual follows science-backed, specifically prescribed heart rate zones for work and recovery periods. You’ll keep moving at a lower intensity during recovery to bring your heart rate down to the target zone, before ramping it up again to get your heart rate soaring. This class is designed to help you better understand your physical limits and how quickly your body can recover from intense efforts, regardless of your fitness level or conditioning.

HYPER

A high-volume, hypertrophy-style training class with a focus on form and function. Expect unilateral loaded movements, lateral movements, and a unique twist on many conventional strength exercises. Each exercise is designed to challenge your prime movers, stabilisers, and core. This class alternates between upper and lower body focus for the ultimate all-round resistance workout.

H.I.R.T

Stands for “High-Intensity Resistance Training.” This class combines three different training styles in one: EMOM (“Every Minute on the Minute”), AMRAP (“As Many Reps As Possible”), and AFAP (“As Fast As Possible”). It’s designed to complement and reinforce the movement patterns covered in our Strength classes.

XTX

A full-body workout that combines metabolic complexes and resistance exercises. By targeting the aerobic system through both short and long-duration efforts, this class will have your metabolism working at its peak.

PUMP

A high-volume resistance class designed to give your muscles the ultimate pump through isolation exercises. Targeting either upper or lower body muscle groups, this class is excellent for keeping your metabolism elevated for up to 36 hours after the session.

CARDIO SUMMIT

This class will push your cardiovascular endurance to the limit with longer-duration efforts specifically designed to target your aerobic energy system. It aims to improve your aerobic capacity, helping you recover more quickly during the short, high-intensity efforts in our other classes. A perfect challenge after completing our other cardio classes.

CARDIO HIIT

A High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class where you'll burn maximum calories by training at peak intensity in short bursts. Attack each intense work period with everything you've got, and you'll love the well-earned rest intervals. Training at these high intensities maximises the EPOC (Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption) effect, ensuring your body continues to burn calories for up to 36 hours after the class.

BALANCED

A full-body workout designed to keep you in balance by targeting all muscle groups in one session. You'll work through full ranges of motion to improve mobility, stability, and strength through a variety of unilateral and anti-rotational movements. This vital class helps you move more efficiently, ensuring you can maximise your performance across all our other classes.

STRENGTH ENDURANCE

This class is designed to help you get stronger for longer! Combining cardio and strength exercises that target similar muscle groups, it builds your strength endurance to push you further in every workout.

STRENGTH

Strength is the core foundation class for all our BFT programs! These classes not only build overall strength through compound lifts but also help develop lean muscle, reducing the risk of injuries. As you learn to move and lift with proper form, you'll be able to increase the weight you lift, progressing steadily in your strength journey.

POWER

A class designed to express your strength through explosive movements at a fast pace. You'll activate your fast-twitch muscle fibres while moving through heavy lifts, plyometric exercises, and complex movements to boost your power and performance.

BEAST MODE

Unleash your inner beast with a combination of martial arts disciplines, including partner work, bag work, and additional conditioning exercises. This fun, action-packed team training class lets you blow off steam while reaping the rewards. Suitable for all levels of boxing experience, our coaches will be there to guide you every step of the way!

SHRED

This class offers the best of both worlds: a perfect mix of high-intensity cardio and strength training. Build lean muscle and increase your aerobic capacity all in one session. The ultimate class for burning calories while building strength.
